What started out as Amanda’s occasional dessert special has already grown into more than we could have ever imagined.
Posting her desserts on Instagram and Facebook from her first class at The Culinary Institute of America, Amanda showed improvement with every picture. Eventually, something came along that few even knew what it was, but that it sure looked tasty… The French macaron.
While at the CIA and also with some help along the way, Chef Amanda eventually perfected the art of the fickle French macaron, which as a result turned out great tasting and visually stunning. (This has been confirmed by our expert taste tester and by now self-proclaimed mac-eating expert, Vin.)
One day, however, after a particularly delicious dessert special of Italian Rainbow Cookie macaron flavor, there happened to be a few left over. Amanda brought Vin one to try after work (as she often did with many of her desserts, bless her soul.) He thought, “How can this macaron taste just like the Italian rainbow cookie I've loved my whole life… and maybe better?!”
Fast forward to today, we combine fresh ideas, endless research, crazy hours, and innovative flavors to continuously evolve and grow Amanda’s Macaron Shoppe. Our customers mean everything to us, and we are grateful for any support big or small.
